The only thing I cannot figure out is why people keep putting money into cavaliers and sunfires. Especially those who are adults and not 16 yrs old. I mean for the amount of money you invest in these cars you could buy something with a little more power or a little more prestige. Not knocking anyone, this is just something I figured people grew out of as they got older. At least it was that way with me. And trust me, I know you will say I am not into those cars and I really like my car, trust me I get that. I am just curious I guess.

To keep it short sweet and simple..... Ever go to a old cruiser meet where the guy says he's owned his car since he was 16? I'm going to say about 5% of the people at the shows actually say they do. Everyone else bought their "dream" car off of a guy who WISHED he didn't sell it. Those guys that can honestly say they kept their car restored for all those years... man oh man, the expression on his face is priceless and I EVENY that feeling. My cavalier is my first car I ever bought, hard earned money from when I was 19... and I saved up until I could buy it. Trust me, it's an everyday question when people say... but why a cavalier? and I say because I own a house, I have long term financial goals that are in line, I have a F150 Ford Lightning if I want to drive fast.. and I worked my A$$ off in school to get an amazing job with out getting any hand me down opportunities and or money. I'll roll in my cavalier (when its done) and I know people are going to say, man you could have invested your money into a mercedes, BMW or whatever... but seriously... why? I've been inspired by Adults that long wished they kept their first car, and I will not be that person that sold it away for 1/3 of the cost put into it.. only to have my heart crash for making the wrong decision. I've invisioned the way I want my car for the past 5 years... and it's finally almost together. I will be that person at a show, that can say... I built it.. I own it.. and its my first car. An amazing feelign I can't wait to feel.... wait... I can and Im sure Francky feels the same way. He is proud of his car... that's all you need.
We are car guys.... this is what we do.
I would have to say now... thread jack end... and continue with with progress pics!!!
Francky.. this is one awesome build.

it's also fun beating cars that cost 2-3 times as much at an autox.
ashley lunny wrote:To answer your question as to why we still mod our j's is because who ever told us just because we are adults now we cant still have passions and hobbies? If someone did well I totaly missed that lesson in school. Did you ever stop to think that maybe that is how we stay young at heart? I could go out and buy a brand-new car today if I wanted to but why give my hard earned money to some money grubbing bank for five years when I have enough cars as is and I can spend that money on my cavi to get it a little closer to my goal. There are car junkies all over the world that find what you asked offensive because you were apparently never a true junkie at heart you will never understand no matter how much we explain to you. I personally find my car as a stress release from the drull and grind of everyday life so I go out there and get my hands dirty and have some fun whats the crime in that? To put this simply.....you do not understand car people at all because you see a car as an object to own and a tool to get you to work and home so naturally you (like most girls) think of the material possesion not the dream and the potential. (& that kinda makes me mad cause im one of the few girls that thinks different than your narrow-minded self and you make the car world harder for girls like me due to your ill-minded questions) we see cars as rolling art and expressions of the owner not as somthing to get, beat the crap out of, and then throw away for another shinny new cookie cutter car that every mom owns. We love to be different and think outside the box.....NOW did THAT answer your poorly thought out and even worse worded offense you called a question? Hopefully we can now move on and let Francky show us what he has done with his personal rolling art....KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MAN!!!!
