nice patch panels. It looks like you won't have a lot of filler work. I'm pumped to see the manual swap.

What parts u still need for the swap?
Also, people kill for the xtreme tuner kit, you have 2! lol

thanks. um still missing the actual tranny mounts themselves, the clutch reservoir, clutch, flywheel, and 5spd engine harness. oh and im only lucky to have two tuner kits. got a second one after being rearended in 07.

WHITECAVY wrote:Nice man.. DAMN you jacked a whole part of the frame for the tranny mounts?? lolol now thats doin it big hahah.

Btw, shaved is NIIIIIIIIIICE! Wouldnt have it no other way, I wish I shaved my gas door though

haha well someone else jacked the whole frame section for me. i just bought it off of them lol. and shaving the gas door on the vert is a lil harder since u cant put it in the normal spot on the deck lid. vert hinges are right in the way so i guess its just gonna have to be in the trunk somewhere.

glad i can fulfill everyones dreams

so after all that i got a few more pix of updates!!

starting to do a lil filling on the handles gas door and antenna

removed the battery tray

just to clean the engine bay up i decided to ditch the ac i mean i have a drop top so thats all i need right lol

and finally the engines just about ready to come out along with the tranny

check back for more updates hopefully soon!

I could have saved you a lot of trouble. I had that engine out about this time last year.

Looks awsome dude. While you're in there, ditch the ABS. That great big unit is an eyesore in the engine bay. Plus its obviously a summer car, so who the hell needs ABS? lol

Re: Project: Drop Top

i agree ditch the abs and do some sort of wire tuck so its super clean like arrons white and orangish car. and i say for the fuel issue do it behind the tail light. have the tail light hinge open

There are ways to make the eco engine bay ultra clean, couple things u can do:
Wire tuck the siht out of it
Relocate the cruise control module into the wiper cowl area
Relocate the PCM under the dash
Relocate battery to the trunk (I see you are already doing this.)
Ditch the ABS
Paint/polish on the engine makes it look super sexy.

that is a good question. and the answer is yes hopefully it will be AT the bash. not sure if it will be completely done. but even if i have to trailer it i will

Looking good dude. I think Im more excited to see your vert that I am with my own haha. Where are you going to relocate your gas filler to? I thought about doing that, but we cant put them in the trunk runoff area as our hinges are there. Only other spot I could think of was behind the taillight.

And Darren, your list will be fulfilled with my vert, except for the battery removal, as Ill already have a battery in the trunk for the air.
