So i got the OHV out tonight, What a work out. For those who have done this just a couple questions before the boosted eco goes in... The AC lines from the ohv do not the new compressor...Fail. and im a lil apprehensive about the fuel lines being able to reach the fuel rail which i hope can...The last thing is the Eco tranny looks almost identical to the ohv its freaking me out and i hope i got the right trans...I 'll post of some pics tomorrow..Im beat..

Day 2: Eco and trans are in, Thank gawd it mounted together. Problems there is no lower mounting bracket on my ecotec wtf!!!! ANOTHER annoyance. But the good part is it is in and the mounted down besides the lower bracket. Tomorrow the engine harness, Hoses, fluids and charger go on i hope! I need to find a solution for the lower bracket mount since its supposed to rain and i have to work.... i need this thing running by the end of the week. Also my car had abs. this harness doesn't it shouldn't affect anything should it? As promised pictures.

NIce job so far. I had the same thing my eco didn't come with abs. The only thing is be careful in slippery conditions you don't have a computer to fall back on. Oh and you prob will throw an abs light and a parking brake light. For some reason i don't think a lot of cavis or sunfires with the eco came with abs. I've heard this from a lot of people that have done this swap. If you really want it you can be brave and hack up your two harnesses and splice them together. BUT THAT IS TRICKY AND A LOT OF WORK... be carefull and know what you are doing before attempting. Looks good so far. Where abouts are you located?? And where did you get your charger kit from??
lol i was actually thinking about doing that didn't look to complicated. I got my charger off a cobalt in the junkyard about 2 hours from me. Im in maryland near Dc.. so for my first swap its not half bad...thank gawd for my friend tho.

Day 3... We freaked becuz the supercharger is like really really close to the front frame. The lower mount isn't in i don't know if that has anything to do with it getting the new hoses in place was a serious PITA .So everything is in place, hoses connected. engine harness connected supercharger. All that left is the battery, brake booster and tb cable bracket. I also found a lower mount at the junkyard! Sweet! also any idea about a filter? Look how close that is!?
Also OHV parts are up for grabs, MSD coils, 8.2 thundervolt wires, ening and trans of course and now pics.
tomorrow shall be the first test fire up!

Save the MSD coils for your eco. MSD swap FTW!!!
I just relocated my battery and stuck a filter on the end of the TB. Did you grab the LSJ injectors too? Also the bottom port of the bypass valve on the S/C is vented to the atmosphere.

So its in, it drives still no boost since gm decided i can get the flash on weekends, So monday after work. The exhaust is also loud cuz we tried to weld it and failed. so after market. So after the swap and driving the car its a totally different machine.. even without the boost compared to the OHV this feels great... the swap took 4 days and on a scale of 1 to 10 me for never doing a swap i say 6 or 7...Words of advice just get a donar car. last bit of pics.

Glad you have it running. Now clean up the engine bay. Get a SS/SC radiator hose as well.
