Anyway, while it may not look like much I finally have underdash panels again. I dont even remember the last time I had a complete interior.

Each attaches with just two dzus for easy access to fuses, wiring, MS etc.

So I just need to do a few other little things inside (including order my new switch panel) and the inside will finally be done! Near epic progress.
vr6 chain? Who the hell runs the cams off the back of the crank.... Lol

Starting to make some progress on the surge tank. I modeled the Y block in Solidworks and machined it myself. The barb fittings, which I turned down from NPT fittings, are press fit (obviously). The model for the tank lid mounting ring is done, Im just waiting it to be machined.

I also started on a design for the hanger bracket to hold both pumps. It needs a bit of tweaking, but Im hoping to have that made this week as well.

Almost done with the fuel pump hanger. Just need to cut a couple slots for the clamps and it should be ready to weld to the tank lid. (and no, thats not fuel line, just some crap for the mockup)

really confused on your design. why 2 barb fittings? also seen your drawing flanges are opposite of your actual peice. guess that was the tweeking.

I was wondering what in the world that rig was, now it makes sense.

My Dad will hopefully have that quote for you soon.

No real updates to speak of.

I did order the other fuel pump for the surge tank and a lift pump for in tank. Both should be here by early next week.

Once I get the surge tank mounting flange ring machined some real progress can start again.

Also, Im waiting on someone to make up a light bar for my new radio/ switch panel. Once thats set I can do final tweaks and get the panel on order (the design is 98% done now).

You don't need a nice aluminum reservoir, just stick a milk jug under the hood...

Because 400hp OHV, lol

He was having weird fuel pressure problems though, so now he wont.

Two pumps in a surge tank up front so I wont ever run out of fuel, or corn. Its way easier to plan for two off the bat than try to get a second one in later. I dont necessairly plan on running both all the time. The plan is to have the second come on when needed (controlled by MS3)

The third, because the surge tank needs to be filled by something.

Also to add to it, it is not uncommon to run dual intank pumps on v8's. Even up to 4 intank pumps. Some really nice options for expanding drop in intank pumps.

Finally got the mounting flange for the surge tank machined. I need to press in the studs and I can start welding. Hopefully in the next couple weeks.
