Looks great, I think the extra compression from the decking and the head work will liven it up some.

YEAH IT WILL HAVE A BIT MORE COMP. HEAD WAS MILLED DOWN QUITE A BIT. UNSURE HOW MUCH BECAUSE SOMEONE HAD RESURFACE THE VALVE COVER SURFACE SO HEAD THICKNESS WOULD BE OFF. I PUT SHIMS UNDER THE PUSHROD GUIDES TO MAKE UP FOR IT. DID SOME VERY MILD PORTING, GOT RID OF THE HUMP ON THE EXHAUST PORTS AND CLEANED UP ALL THE CASTING LINES.

Supposedly the hump is there for a scavenging effect but im not sure how much it does or doesnt help. Either way should be better than stock.

Actually... Because of the of the odd drop to the floor of the port, it's there to help prevent reversion. Exhaust reversion is what contaminates the incoming combustion-charge, requiring more fuel to be added to overcome it than would be necessary otherwise.

Go beyond the "bolt-on".
