Dude, no offense taken, I feel the same way! lol
So as you can see in this pic, the polished power steering pump had seen better days and the engine needed some love.

The engine is being stored at Chris' place until its ready to go in the car. He said that he would get the pump back to its former glory, but I guess he got bored last night and not only did the pump but re-polished the entire engine. This is the state of the engine now. I REALLY cant wait to mate this with the freshly painted engine bay.

I gotta say a HUGE thanx to Chris (SweetnessGT). I was planning on going there this week to do this, but you did it all. Unexpected for sure and much appreciated.

PS - I pick up the car this Saturday from Waydes

OMG!

Well that will be the challenge, trying to keep it all shinny without wanting to blow the sh1t out of it in frustration! lol

Where is the motor and when will nobody be around? lol

It is B-E-A-UTIFUL. I can't wait to see both put together (motor and engine bay)

I'll get better pics of it tonight with my camera so you guys can see all the details - even the pullies are polished as well as every little bracket, down to the CPS and Power Steering bolts. It's quite a gorgeous engine and the sad thing is half of it will be hidden when installed.

I'll still show you how to maintain it Darren... now that it's de-oxidized and back to a mirror polish (esp that goddamn rusted pump) all you'll have to do is maintain it once in a while with a Mothers Powerball and some Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish. It shouldn't be too bad.

I was saying to Darren yesterday, between the polished engine and mirror painted engine bay people are going to have a brain aneurism when he opens the hood... esp after seeing the outside of the car.

In the great words of Wayders:

"Come pick it up, Meow."

David... it's the stock pump... the reservoir has just been removed for polishing - it'll be put back on shortly.

Looks different without it, eh!?

One step bigger. Polish the entire car, transmission, axles, control arms, struts, springs, calipers, wiper arms, frame, trailing arm, and anything else metal I may be forgetting. lol.

I would like to get it in soon, but I dont think I will be putting it in for another couple weeks. I am doing it at ribs shop and he is away for the next couple weekends.

So I made the trip out to Peterborough yesterday to pick the car up.
To say that Im happy would be the understatement on the century. The engine bay is filthy because it sat outside for the last week and there are waterspots all over it. I will clean it and start assembling the car again over the next few weeks, but for now, here are the pics.

What wiring harness pass-through?

Funny story, this was my garbage lower rad support that I put in just to send to the shop and I was going to replace. Waydes dad oobviously didnt know this. He sandblasted and it got painted with everything else. lol

The sad, dusty, dis-assembled state of Leona right now.

And I think this might need some attention.
