Figured I would chime in and say I love what you have done to the Cavy. It is B E A Utiful!
Thanks....ill keep plugging away
Havent done to much in the last bit, atleasnt not anything overly exciting.
The car has been misfiring a bit and bringing up a p0300 code so I figured it was time to change the plugs so I went with the NGK 3787's since they come gapped more in the desired range I want.
When I bought this car it came with basically a gutted stereo for a trunk. The spare tire holder was gone and cut off, no carpet etc. So I went and got the parts to make it right, welded in a new spare tire mount and cleaned the wrecking yard carpets and it looks like new! Really makes the car look complete for some odd reason.
Sweet! It may be a small detail but it sure looks better than when you got it! Cargo net FTW!!
The last bit ive been collecting and making parts for my afr gauge.
This is what I came up with.
I made a copy of the stock bracket that came with the gauge cup but made it fit my needs and painted it, the screws and washers satin black
Once I figured where I wanted the gauge to sit in the car I marked it and made my slots in the plastic.
Riveted the bracket on.
And installed in the car
Now I just have to hook the other stuff up and get it all working.
what size is that A/F gauge?
2 1/6 like most gauges youd put in a pod.
very nice work, glad i could revisit the thread and see some solid progress
I was going to get an Autogage boost gauge because it matches the stock gauges pretty good, but they only have boost in 2 5/8". I think it will be too big to stick on top of the column like that. Guess I'll have to go with something else.
That is exactly where I put my Wideband.
Since its the most important gauge, I put it infront of everything else.
Exactly!
I wanted it to be in my line of sight at all times. In the pillar or the vents you have to take your eyes off the road. this way its right there.
This happened to show up for me today.....
Not much new....
I got my wideband wired up and running over the weekend and prepped my lip for paint.
This just showed up today....a teaser of what im working on. These aren't the crappy John Benham projectors and have much much better light output. Just have to figure out a shroud...not alot of room so I don't know what im going to do yet:S

what are you using for a Tmap connector?
Thanks, I was hoping it was something I could snag from the junkyard. I checked every German car a few weeks ago and nothing uses a 4 wire bosh map sensor. I'll just have to buy that $25 one online I guess.
Every cobalt ss/sc has one.......also the saab 9-3 2.0 turbo uses one as well 2003 up.
I swapped my reverse lights out to some led bulbs. Not sure if they are brighter but I do like the color in comparison to stock.
May try to find something that will throw off a little more light.
Comparison to stock
End result
Today I swapped out my 194 bulbs to leds....
Map lights, glove box, dome light, trunk light....But sadly the ones I got doesn't fit into my license plate light so I got to order more. I also ordered some white smd 12" light strips to replace my trunk light with something that gives off a little more light.
Got my "value" shrouds today from TRS so i did a test fit to see if they would fit.
They do and work with the headlight just perfect, although I cut this one a little more then needed ill make sure to go slower on the final set.
This is what it'll look like when finished.
I like it a lot

I didn't like how there was no light from the stock trunk compartment light so I put some cheapo eBay led strips in.
Made a dramatic difference and is much brighter then the camera pics up.
I may add another one to the front of the trunk but ill wait till its warmer.

I like the progress a lot. Nice and clean touches your giving the car!
