Poly mounts are amazing. I never thought they'd make that kind of a difference but they really did. Tires spin like they're on glass now.

Isn't this build done yet?!

I'm excited for next weekend man...I'm not sure why since it entails rebuilding your whole car in two days, haha, but I'm excited. You won't notice if I switch those tri-flows with my stockers and toss them in my DD, right? lol

This week is the big swap? Sweet.

When is the TVS

Mission failed, for now.

So, I'll start with the good and just show the pictures starting with tear down. Cation to mobile users, there are a lot of pictures..

Hood, headlight support, and rad out of the way:

Engine, transmission, front suspension, and k member dropped:

Replaced the sway bar bushings while the k member was down:

Old l61 and other carnage:

Starting the F23 teardown with the illusive hidden bolt loose:

Team Green insert compressed:

Installed in the differential:

Trans back together with a new ac delco throw out bearing:

Onto the LK9 stuff. Replacing the stock springs with Supertech 78lb springs:

Due to the casting marks on the LK9/LSJ head, some material needs to be removed to allow the springs to clear. Even the stock springs barely fit and you can see where they already clearanced some areas at the factory:

Tri Flow cams installed with LSJ cam gears, LNF followers and lash adjusters, and completely new timing set. Didn't take any pictures but the timing chain components utilized ARP hardware for a little extra insurance:

External trigger wheel setup installed. I still hate this setup but luckily Matt already made everything up and helped me time it properly:

New meth injection setup:

Tein SS coilovers installed:

Motor in and running(crappy picture taken at night):

Inspection after about 25 miles, everything looks good!:

Finally a sweet picture in front of our shop:

Unfortunately, a lot of the swap took more time than I expected due to a bunch of little issues I either wasn't aware of or wasn't totally prepared for. Because of that, I didn't give Oldskool nearly enough time to dial this thing in. Although driveable, there's plenty to be gained and even more to be smoothed out. It starts REALLY hard and turns over forever before it decides to catch. I'm guessing this is a trigger wheel issue that I will need to dial in whether the wheel is slightly out of alignment or the sensor is slightly too far away.

It WAS driveable and idled great, but then I discovered an oil leak after tuning. After frantically pulling things back apart and re sealing the area that seemed to be leaking the worst, it just started leaking out of the rear main instead. It won't leak at idle but as soon as I drive it even a little harder it leaks like crazy. I'm guessing I'm somehow boosting the crank case, likely through a malfunctioning pcv valve in the LSJ intake manifold. Unfortunately I was totally out of time at this point and I was forced to leave the car in Pennsylvania and return to Massachusetts for work. I'll be back down not before too long to figure out what the issues are and resolve them.

Updates to come, hope everyone enjoys the picture porn!
