Wednesday, June 12, 2013 2:06 PM
So this is just to post sample photos of my car before work begins again.
To be done: Install new brakes
Repair small dent in passenger fender
Fix some cracks in front bumper
Going to inspect a wrecked Cobalt to pull the supercharger
If all goes well install supercharger

Now for some pics

For $80 and old stockers...

Got some mint Toyo tails

Small wheel gaps on Tein coilovers

More pics and thats it for now

absolutely love the color but those stripes ruin the entire car for me. way too many, in my opinion. maybe if you just did the hood, roof, and trunk lid id like them more.... but, your car!

also, is that a custom lip on the rear bumper? looks like a 95-99 z24 with an extra lip... i love it! LOL

M45/OS crank/2.4 snout. It's nice to be injected but I love being blown!

Small update! Went to the salvage yard and they said if I could pull off the supercharger and everything needed I could take it for $900. Looks to be in decent shape but I have found some on ebay for a way better price and with actual condition descriptions.

On another note, some people like racing stripes and some others dont. Personally I love them and as a matter of fact Ill post more photos of them. Also I think cars look goofy/incomplete when they are only on the hood, roof and trunk.

As for body work today I was able to get the dent popped out and Im about to start fixing the front bumper cracks. Changed out the clockspring earlier today as well.

A car without stripes is like a steak without spices! Bland...

The stripes are done well overall.

I would have to do them through the wing on the rear, but still not feeling them overall. I think the car has more than enough without them.

A good steak doesn't need spices.

To OP: Looks good. Forgot about the color change. Hopefully you get the car finished!

haha true..you only need to add toppings or spices to something that doesnt naturally taste right in the first place!

But I love the color and what youve done to it. I would say just not have the stripes on the front of the hood. Going from the bumper up and out of the cowl area, giving it that look like the stripes are going through the engine bay and up over the car.

But i really wanted to do that dual/quad exhaust with a black lower difuser a long time ago...while i dont like tips sticking out, i think the car looks great. def unique. And with all those stripes and stuff, it def needs some 'go fast' parts so its go not just show. I got my 06 SS/SC supercharger parts for $500, and my blower was in perfect condition (no rattles, bearing issues, etc). But $900 isnt bad if its lower mileage and it includes the manifold, blower, tensioner (prob get a new one anyways), idle, alternator (grab this, spins proper and its higher amps), etc. I got mine for a steal because the guy was on leave and only here for a short time and wanted it gone. $500 for everything is a steal, $900 is to me a decent price. Cause you're going to spend at least that much more on supporting mods (header, exhaust, h/e, other cooling mods, etc). And under $2k is cheap for a quality build.

x2 on what part of TX youre in, id love to see this thing in person! (Im in San Antonio)

also..is it just me or are the stripers a tad bit offset in the rear? looks like they favor the driver side slightly...but that could just be me being super OCD as normal
