NWF swap is great!!! Only difference in my setup besides paint color is I custom made equal length axles for my Getrag Eco Sunflower.

Only setup like that in a newer J body that I know of. :-)

Currently #4 in Ecotec Forced Induction horsepower ratings. 505.8 WHP 414WTQ!!!
Currently 3rd quickest Ecotec on the .org - 10.949 @ 131.50 MPH!!!

nice job on the swap bro i have been thinking on doing a similar swap my self in the spring on my 03 ls sport few questions for ya y the 2003 grandam axles and do you need to modify the control arms?

So far all the J's with this set-up I've seen have 17s but the PNs at autozone for calipers are the same for the SS (which had 17s) and the base (which had 16s). I've been hoping that 16s will clear but I haven't heard anyone do it.

The grand am control arms are longer than the stock jbody parts.

The axles are needed with the alum knuckle as it utilizes the grand am wheel bearing which has a different size and spline count if my memory is correct. (Also keep in mind bolt pattern will change to 5x115)

16's should fit. John lenko ran 16" Grand Prix wheels on his setup.

Sweet! I wanna jump back into a J soon. This Cobalt is a POS lol! But I wanna take my take engine with me and Frankenstein it to work on the J...But back on track...I just wanted to make sure 16s would fit as I'm fond of the 02 Z24 wheel lol.

Stock z wheels will not fit - wrong bolt pattern
I run 17in wheels in the summer and 18in wheels in the winter lol - 2003 grand ams came with ecotecs and the f23 trans. So I used those axles with alum. Control arms unmoddifided and alum knuckle and wheel bearing.
Front bolt pattern on my car is 5x114.3 and back is 5x100 but I run universal aftermarket wheels that have both patterns.

16in wheels with the correct bolt pattern should fit - depends on the wheel

Is it possible to run cavalier hubs on this setup? Or possibly just do like the cobalt guys do. Since 5x110 is quite the garbage bolt pattern. We drill to 5x114.3. So I'm guessing I could just drill the grand am hubs to 5x100 to run the Z wheels.
