So, I broke the steering rack....internally. My car will turn left fine, but fights turning right. I have been talking to a few dirt track people, and they seem to break them ever so often, but have opposite results.
So, I guess it is time to start my LG0 swap. I wanted to collect more parts first, but I guess it is go time.

Finally found a cover in good condition. Special thanks goes out to Ron.
All I need is an alternator, and a few randomness parts, and I should have most of the swap parts for the LG0 swap.

Good condition indeed! Good luck on the randomness parts they're always the biggest pita to track down.

What year is your car again?
Im very interested to see this happen. I know Scott did the swap in his 95....but that was from a LO Quad to a HO Quad....but going from LD9 to LGO....im interested in the senosr readings, etc. Im sure it can be done, just need to know what your doing. Obviously you do.
GMR has got nothing on this

The two engines share the same style sensors. All the LD9 stuff will be pretty much plug and play with the possible exception of the knock sensor because it is a 99 and I cant remember if that is the year the switched to the smaller sensor or 00 and the lack of a cam sensor. The crank sensor is in a slightly different spot than a an LD9 but it still reads the same when plugged in because the timing marks on the crank are different than the LD9 to match the different location.
Mike why is the car not running yet?????? There are videos to be made for us to see already hahaha
