I see a 2 piece tensioner. I highly disapprove of that.

Agreed, the 96 is a much better design in my opinion.

Boostlab has my turbo (according to tracking info). Just waiting on their call!
Clutchmasters FX300 segmented kevlar clutch showed up yesterday. If my stock replacement exedy clutch could handle my old HP rating I should be totally fine with this.

This will get her down the road a bit quicker.
Precision 5531 with MFS compressor wheel.
I don't have a ton of clearance between the turbine housing and waterpump with my header so I went with a turbo that will fit the space constraints and line up with the current downpipe.
Overall very pleased with this turbo.

oh my good god.
makes LD9 last longer than 99.9999% of them ever made with incredible reliability, even under boost. pops TWO rings lands, still runs and drives for two more years whilst not even needing to be pulled. if that's not a true representation of what an LD9 is capable in the hands of a loving owner I really don't effing know what is.
lol I like how its "not gonna upgrade turbo" then two posts after, you post pics of a new BADASS turbo. hahahaha
I cannot wait to see this thing back together again. its going to be 10X the setup it was before.
RIP silver car. You will be missed.
Im curious to see what power you put down. Build is coming together i like it!
Im jealous, nothing more said

That is sweet. Old one not worth repairing?

I sent it to Boostlab in Florida and since it was a knock off turbo they were unable to rebuild it. Something about odd shaft size and such.

I mocked up a diffuser but I wasn't feeling it. Felt too tacky since it wasn't perfectly functional. I may revisit the idea later.

Not sure how I feel about the split lip... I'll be curious to see how it looks once it's painted.
Now if your running a diffuser in there, that changes everything.
Not normally a two piece guy myself, but it loos good there!
