car is back together and moving under it's own power. The last autox of the season is this sunday. plans are to run the car (and hopefully not break it)

Had an eventful weekend running the car. A buddy of mine co-drove the car and we managed to break it... Twice.

First breakage was the throttle cable bracket on the ls1 adapter folding over and pinning the throttle plate wide open. After a short dance with the rev limiter, pushing the car back to the pits, and some "race car engineering", we were able to get back to racing.

Said solution pictured below:

2nd breakage appears to be a broken shift cable. My co-driver went to grab second and was unable to grab any gear other than first. I was able to lock the car in third to limp it home and upon inspection, the trans will go into all gears when manually selected via the linkage on the trans.

Overall we ended 3rd and 5th in a class of 7 drivers (not only did he break my car, he beat me too lol 2nd place was .006 seconds quicker) and I ended up 29 out of 95 competitors.

worked on the car a bit today. The breakage from the autox turned out to be a broken shifter cable. I'll be headed to the junkyard to grab a set to get the car back in action.

also yanked the cruise control module out of the car... because racecar. LOL

Car is back up and running. Also braced the front fenders a bit more.

Just a few garage pics for now... Hoping to get it out soon for a few pics before the snow flies.

pulled the old control arms and subframe brace today and installed one of the new n-body arms. (I need to get another set of bushings as I ripped one of the polys installing them on the 2nd arm) I also need to pickup some hardware to install the new TTR k-brace. I may also invest in a new set of poly endlinks for the front sway bar as they are starting to show their age.

tomorrow I'll be picking up a new addition for the sedan. (possibly 2 depending on if the other person gets back to me)

pics to follow
