well it's done for now, now I need to redo my trunk area and get those W7's looking good.
This is only my 2nd fiberglass experiment, so go easy on me, I think it turned out good, and actually better than i thought, but my car is always a work in progress, so it might change.
please tell me you have something to cover that tv up with when you leave your car somewhere. anyone who looks into that car will wanna try and rip it right out of there...

Big Poppa - I painted the dash trim the same color as the car, Indigo Blue Metallic
Merrr - TV $200, FiberGlass Mat $2.99, Fiberglass Resin $11.99, 1 Gallon of bondo $12.49, misc sandpaper, pop, paint, etc. under$50 Doing it yourself - PRICELESS
Cannon Fodder - I rarely leave my car anywhere except in front of my house and at work, other than that when I leave to go somewhere we take my g/f's ENVOY, plus her truck is WAY more comfartable to ride around in. Plus I have tinted windows and a alarm that has 3 sirens, horn honk, light flash, hood & trunk pins, shock sensors, proxemity sensor, and a VIDEO camera in front of the house. If that doesn't work I have full coverage insurance. BTW you can barely see the TV in the car with the windows up, the steering wheel is in the way. Who knows if someone wants it that bad, they might get it. Not worth jail or gettin hit with a bat or maybe shot just for a TV to me.
Man you are my hero....the only thing i dislike about our gauges is that they are all together...i already have my reverse indiglo gauges... where did you get the chrome bezel that divides up the 2 other pieces ? and another thing....did you paint it,cuz it doesn't look chrome at all, but better

James... How the hell do you get the carbon fiber overlay in there? I could not find a way to get inside the plastic housing. I wanted to paint the plastic (not the clear part, but the black that presses up against the white overlay) while I was putting my indiglo's in(a couple years ago), but I couldn't figure out a way to get in there.
BTW, I saw you car parked up at Mac's this weekend... lookin' good. My g/f liked it too. Don't worry, we didn't get too close...lol... I just pointed it out from across the lot.
Later,
Adam

Adam, heat up the CF bezel with a heat gun, just a little bit to get it soft, than put it in from behind throught the stock bezel, after it is in pull off the double sided tape and pulll it back into place.
Javier - eBay my friend, it is just the reflaction you see, you can see yourself in the guages, and clouds as you drive, it is that shiney.
My question, and it's a silly one... since you live in Michigan, how are you gong to keep warm when it's 30 below?

so did you make that whole peice out of fiberglass or did you just fiberglass the one spot where the tv went? also was it hard to run wires from the deck up into the vents?? i have been thinking about trying something similar to this for almost a year now but i dont quite know where to start.
Once the vents are removed, there is a big open space, no need to reroute anything, the radio is only 3 inches higher. I built up over the stock dash bezel
Re: 7inch TV in dash w/HU in heater vent location pics
Err Ive been wanting to do that for a long time lol, But I cant find anywhere good to re-locate the deck in my fire...Looking good tho Ill be attempting it as soon as a friend Gets the TV for his cavy
