okay since the sunfire is back on the road again i decided to go out and get some night shots. paul, jeff and gil all came out to join in on the fun. still learning how to work the camera off flash and not the greatest at night shots but this is what we came up with after about an hour or two.

Nice shots/location! Some are a little dark, but not bad! Great set of cars as well, although, compared to your 'fire, the rest look so high! hahaha

That was a lot of fun, it was nice to get a group of us together and go do something other than work on the cars, a lot less stressful lol.
I took some pics as well, but they were not amazing shots or anything, I just took them while Jason was doing the real work, also most of these were when someone else was getting their pics done, so doesnt really have everyone at once, but I was playing with night pics, I know they are dark, but it looked a lot better than with flash on.
Also, since I guess I took them all when Paul was busy and didnt get any just of his car, I will throw in his modeling pic.

Jason how tall do you mount your lights roughly? I know I try to max out my stand(13ft) so it doesn't light just the side of the car. And are you using any sort of diffuser/softbox/umbrella?
They look good, paul just got shafted with his dark reflective color. the last set infront of the huge building looks cool.

for these i just used the flash straight on the stand. didnt get my unbrella out. was thinking about it as i edited them. that i would have softened the light some. just with having 4 cars to do i ended up hurrying more then i should have. elevation of the light varied from pic to pic from like 2' off the ground up to 7 or 9' off the ground i really need to invest in another light to do one on either side. with just the one light i could light up half the car good. but just not enough power in my flash to get the whole car lit up when its so dark out. add that in with working around all the lights that were on the buildings made it difficult.
the funnest part about the shoot infront of the building is standing across the street and timing the photos with traffic. oh that and walking over and asking a cop to move out of the way so i could take the pics lol.
