removing the dash

hey . can someone tell me how to take out the top part of the dash . the big piece . i want to mold in a double gauge pod on it in the center facing me to put my boost and air fuel gauge in . i alread have one on the piller that tells me volts and oil pressure . so can someone give me directions on removing the dash so i can mold and paint it . thanks for any information .

i tryed but nothin . so can somene give me some quick tips . is it just screw around the side of it or what ? aand what bout the air bag . that part stays on ?

screw behind the left side cover, same screw behind right side cover, four screws inside the glove box, 2 on the top of the pad under the defroster vent,,,, and then to take off the instrument trim panel there is 3 more screws....

i think theres actually 5 in the glove box. 2 right on the lip towards the front, 2 gold ones tucked up and back, and one thru the vent part tucked up a bit.

Is there any risk of the airbags coming out. I have wanted to paint my dash for some time but have always been worried about the airbags

i've taken my dash off quite a few times, never disconnected the airbag. Just dont touch it. also when you are ready to remove it from the car, have a friend with, an extra set of hands always helps.

Don't forget the screws on the side ( fuse box and passenger side ) and under the center windshield vent .
