Convertible Weatherstripping Inquiry
Sunday, April 24, 2005 3:44 PM
I have a 2000 Z24 and have been looking for the convertible top weather-stripping and can't seem to find any company other then the stealership that stocks it? If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Thanks, Shane

I'm in the same boat. Went to GM to price it out and they wanted something around $600 for the windshield one. I figured I'll just replace my carpet in the car in the summer and from that point on the car will be garage kept.

My girlfriend is also in the same boat. Spring is going to suck if I can't get this replaced. I called the dealership and found that the tripping for the front and rear side windows isn't exactly cheap either. Any suggestions would also be appreciated here.

Thanks.

Alright this is about all that I could find after a few days of searching!

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com

I think that the part # is 12335401 this shows:

Chevrolet Cavalier
1995-2003
W/Strip, Front Header

Pontiac Sunfire
1995-2003
W/Strip, Front Header

GM LIST: $376.14
OUR PRICE: $221.91

Can anyone verify if this is the correct part#? I can call the dealership later on it just wanted to know if anyone knew off hand. I don't think that there would be any other piece of weather stripping that would cost $376.14 (but GM has surprised me before) so hopefully this is it. And I can live with $221.91 but just barely though!

Thanks, Shane

I've been putting off this purchase for a while due to the price. Just found Soffseal 8701 (header) and Soffseal 8702 (6 piece set) weather seals on www.carparts.com for $260 total shipped! I used the 5% off coupon code "CPAFF8." Can't wait to install!
