Exhaust....
Tuesday, January 18, 2011 5:45 PM
So I'm still new to j-bodies, and don't really know how to run my exhaust to get a lower, aggressive tone. I had true duals on my full size chevy truck before I sold it, so I do have a little knowledge when it comes to this. What I'm wondering is how dual tips with a y-pipe would sound, and brands to avoid when it comes to mufflers/resonators. Thanks

What size pipe?
N/A or forced induction?
Dual is pointless on these cars. It's a 4banger man, just go with a single.

I'd say a 2.5" ID pipe, long Magnaflow resonator (18" body, 24" overall) with either a Dynomax Super Turbo or Apex'i N1 in the rear, depending on your style. N1 will probably be a lower note due to it's design. The Super Turbo will be quieter but higher tone, just either way don't forget the resonator.

"Vroom."
"Yo I wouldn't race him, there's not even an interior in his car man."
"Vrooooooom PSSSSHHH!"
"Oh sh*t. F*ck that, dude..."
