New n00b :)

Hey all...

Was a Saturn man from new in 2001 until about a month ago. Car was written off, and now I have a hand me down 2001 Pontiac Sunfire sedan with 2200 and the Getrag 5 speeed, It only has 93000 km or just over 58000 miles.
Now, I'm a car guy, been a GM fan for a long time and have just known the basics about J- bodies. My question is, what do I have here? Is this little Sunfire going to be a good friend, or will I regret this? I know J-body bones are not the freshest of the block, but I think for long distance cruising or just getting things done in town, no need to rush out and buy a new car.

The LN2 motor you have there will last longer than the car normally, as long as you do regular maintenance.

J-bodies eat strut mounts. If you have a lumber / clunking sound the strut mount is bad. In my opinion that is the only common problem.
