Not only would it not physically fit... (but you could MAKE it fit by doing some cutting.. or swapping in a 2000+ dash assembly...)

But the electronic controller (called the Body Control Module, or BCM for short) you need to run the 2000+ cluster isn't part of a pre-2000 car.

So even if you made it fit in the car, it would never work unless you swapped over all the electronics as well. I've done it, it's an awful job.

95-99 cluster auto or stick store the mileage within the cluster 2000-2005 hold there mileage in the bcm. there more too it then just that also.

ah you werent clear. are you trying to gain a tach? it will work but your mileage will still be wrong.
