Uniside = Half of Unibody?

I'm trying to find the parts to build a Cav from scratch, but I don't want to get a unibody from a junkyard if I don't have to. I looked at the available GM parts and saw a left and right uniside. Is this the same as a unibody?

you could probably get a whole rolling chassis from a yard for $200... i don't see the point of trying to build a unibody car "from scratch". you can't separate the car from the frame, what exactly is your plan and goal?

Thanks for the info, and the plan is to build a V6 or V8 cavalier race vehicle as a project with a couple of friends.

If that's your goal you'd be better off getting the body from a junkyard and throwing an S10 chassis or something under it and doing all your race stuff that way.
