linkage problems
Friday, April 13, 2012 1:14 PM
Hello all I've been on these forums for a while and decided to register. Long story short my linkage went out. The little arm that shifts the tranny under the hood won't stay put anymore. The housing is shot. Next question can I just replace the small plastic piece or just the metal arm piece/gear selector? I found this part and was wondering is thus for the linkage under the hood or the other end of the cable that's on the center console? I searched and searched but nobody gives a how to. Really hoping I don't need to change the whole cable. Here is the part I found http://www.atfspeed. com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21_210&products_id=10 . I'm trying to figure out if it would work for what I need fixed or if ill just be wasting money. Thanks in advance. 99 cavalier 2.2 coupe
