Monday, June 25, 2012 12:09 AM
Hi I am Zack (1Fast99GTP) I just recently picked up my little Pontiac Sunfire for a DD for $200, Not a bad deal. I am new to the Jbody but not to GM ie Pontiac or the Wbody platform. I am well known in Colorado and through out the US and Canada for my GTP and the accomplishments I have achieved with the 3800 V6.I currently Have the fastest known 3800 in CO up at Bandimere Speedway 12.7@ 107 at a 8500ft da .I would like to learn what all tricks and mods can be done with the 2.2 its pretty gutless right now LOL! Hoping to get some info and new knowledge Happy to have found this site! Only Mods I have done to it so far is the ADR s07r 18s and cut out the air box LOL! Any advice will be much welcomed.

If i remember right with some fab the 3X00s can be swapped in to a j. there are stickies about it in the third gen section. if youre really looking to get some power out of your sunfire you might want to look into the ecotecs though. nice job on getting it so cheap and welcome to the site! lots of good info here

Thanks man! Yeah I was reading up on the Ecotec swap, looks like I would have to rewire the car LOL and I am not going to do that .It would be nice if they had a turbo kit or something off another turbo car that would bolt on with some ease. I have a fast car, but I also don't want a slow car LOL With the A/C on its ridiculous on power.

Welcome to the boards, might want o look into swapping body harness/engine harness to at least 00 up and if you boost it, the ld9 reflash and harness on an ln2 or ld9 or eco would be an easy way to go for speed density tunability.
