can i get some opinions on whether or not you think i can bust a 12 .99 or lower? Here is the setup:

GM S/C kit
100 shot nitrous
320 cc RC Injectors
APEXi S-AFCII
AEM UEGO Wideband o2 sensor w/ digital AND analog guage
New LD9 w/ 20K

here are the pics.....

you can but the stress on your stock internals may be too much.

racing a ford is like racing a fat kid.

Yeah, I think the possibility of ducking into the 12's is certainly possible... but it's just as likely that you're gonna break something first.

You can't just go throwing a 100 shot of nitrous at the engine and expect it to hold up. You've got no internal mods to make me think the engine will be ok after that.

i feel ya but the 100 shot is only for the track..... NITRO has been runnin 100 shot safely for a while now.....

did you dyno tune it to make sure it wont lean out on you when you use the hundred shot?

If you say so. It's your wallet.

nitro was NOT running a GM Charger AND a 100 shot..............sorry dude i say your gonna blow up

If you got the money to fix it, then go for it? Its all about if you can afford a new motor if you push it to far. Good Luck.

the wideband is just so you know how much you have to tune it to get it right, make sure you get it right or your gonna have problems.

Yea, dude, I wouldn't do the SC AND the 100 shot. Never in hell. Besides, I'm gonna see how close I can tickle 13 flat this year on DR's and some "innovative changes", lol.

Should've gone turbo... Then you wouldn't need N2O.

on stock internals im gonna have to say its impossible to hit 12's......

but good luck, its probably gonna go kaboooommm

I got $50 that says....

S/C + 100 shot on stock internals = BOOM!

It'll be cool if you manage it, but if you wanted 12's you prolly picked the wrong toy to force air into your engine

I got a $100 bucks that says its not impossible.....

I give you one..... maybe to good runs....... Wet or Dry N2O? Direct port, or Fogger? Any kind of N2O controler, or just a good ole' switch? What kind of tires? Auto or 5speed?

Here's what you do......

Run a couple runs with just the charger, get a feel for it.
Then put in a 25 shot..... only use it on 2nd+...... watch that wide band like a hawk.
If all is ok, put in a 50 shot....... agian, only 2nd+........ again, watch that wide band......
Bump it again to 75......... again only 2nd+........ Dont let that wide band go over 12.5/12.75...
I doubt you'll be able to get it up to a 100shot, and be able to keep that under 12.5ish.... but if you think you can, give it a shot.

I had 15psi on 320cc injectors..... BUT I had my fuel pressure @ 65psi WOT + a 1:1 for boost...... AND I HAD AN INTERCOOLER (TURBO) to keep temps down. Make sure you have your speed limiter disabled, because your going to prolly hit it (I did @ about 13.3) My Turbo put out alot more CFM then the GM charger, but the N2O will make up for quite a bit of it (plus it will keep the intake charge from getting so hot) BUT I managed to pull a 12.8 @ 110 on street tires, with a stock motor (except cams), and also hit a few low 13's with bouncing off the speed limiter.

Good luck, but you better be prepared to tow it home.

i think ur goin to join the spun #3 rod bearing group if you try all that on stock internals especially topping it off with the 100 shot. ur compression will be hella high and i dont think it will be pretty when you hit mid to the end of the track especially if u dont shift perfect but good luck. did u get ur stuff tuned by a pro or not too? that will make a big difference.

If you want to bolt on a charger and spray 100shot and only hope for 12.99 or better, sell your car and get a new hobby

IF the engine held, you'd be runnin low 12s...

a built engine could handle it.... just go direct port nitrous and do like a 150shot... that'll put you in the 12s

.

well i joined that club then the rod went thru the block. well he will have fun trying to find some one to tow it home

i was lucky mine just spun like hell and took .0040 of my crank and messed it up royally.but my block and everything was still good i am just happy i only drove it like 2 miles after it happened to go home.

I think it can certianly be done....but keep the RPM down a bit. RPM + power blows up motors. Instead of shifting the thing at 6000+, keep it under 5500. You could certianly run a smaller shot to begin with and see where that gets you. Don't forget to run colder plugs. At any rate...you'll be making tons of power when the nitrous hits which should be enough to drive the car into 12s.

On another note 12's will take traction if you don't go nuts with nitrous. You can either focus on making enough power not to worry about leaving hard, or you can load up some slicks and see how long your tranny and axles will hold. Maybe do what Nitro is up to and go with a drag radial. I suggest looking into the new Mickey Thompson drag radial. You'll probably want a set on spare rims....

anways...my cavi is my daily driver and I race with the mustang. Reliable 12's was basically head/cam/intake swap away. I guess thats neither here or there.
