Of course Frank . . . . plus people would like to see that fully built 3.8L engine with a huge turbo and the tube chassis cavalier make a 10 sec pass

hey Karo glad to see your hard at work under the hood of my car, let me know how it goes when the new setup is up and running.... last i checked it was still the same motor and same chassis same fast car....

I guess I heard wrong then, my bad, yes indeed a very fast car, keep up the good work. With trap speeds of 127 or 128 you should be able to make it into the high 10s with a little more traction. Either way, keep up the great work on the car.

He'd probably be in the 10's if he didn't have to worry so much about weight transfer. Geez, that car looks like a 4X4 it sits so high! Lower that thing at least in the front to get the weight where you need it Frank!

hey guys i will be there will ned southwicks old sunbird. I am going to try to get a bigger turbo around for it or at least make a few changes to hopefully throw it into the 11's. As it sits right now if i can learn how to drive it. It should run really low 12's all day long. Ned ran a 7.9 @ 88 so i think that a low 12 is very feasable. Looking forward to some good competition also what are the prizes for being in the top 8?

Maybe a better title for this post could be "Who's not showing up to prove themselves at the Bash, but will procede to have a pissing contest about it anyway."

Back on track...
from what I read...

1.Hybridcav, Greg Margison, 13.87@98mph
2.Kane5576, Jeff
3.Turbo Tech Racing
4.Joe Chase

Thanks for updating the list protomec...

I have a hard time believing that there are only 5 sub 14sec cars going to the bash. If there is anyone else out there, please add yourself to the list.

We are going this year, if we have to throw exhaust on the beast, and drive it there...... (might get pretty pricey........ lol)

14.4@104 on street tires and 5psi....... just got her up to 9-10psi, and picked up some nice Drag Radials.......... now to get it tuned up to 15, and get the NAAAAWWWWWZZZZZZZZ on 'er........ maybe even gut more weight out of it....... and shave a few pounds off of us too....

Mike (jbodyho)...... we need to get some time, and get together....... I need a few pointers, and would like to take a look at your car again.

In all the racing at all the Bash's i can only think of one car who has even hit the 13's on street tires. Seems like there is always a ton of hype and then lots of disappointment.

im going. so far i have a best of 13.63@101. everytime i go to the track the car seems to get faster so well have to see what happens. ill be making a few passes on the street tires too to confirm my 13 second street tire pass. wanna make sure it wasnt a fluke...even though i have 4 LOL. ill also be running some drag radials which i will be more than happy to rent out to anyone more needing than me...or those who want to try them. not gonna be free though.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

Every track is different. I have heard of guys running a .5 variance between two tracks...
I'm just glad that it is at my home track so I will basically know what I should run. Others may be faster at IRP than there home track, some may be slower... Guess we will see.

BTW, I Love Bench Racing

Heh, I was running 13.8 on my 17" tires at the Bash Last year...

I am not the only one am I?

FYI, I have never tried slicks on my car as of yet and if I do I have no idea how much it will help. I have only raced my car with my daily driven tires last season and this season so far...

Is there anyone else in the 13's on street tires that plans on going?

Later,
Jeff

I sure hope at least one fast 2nd Gen shows up. I was hoping Frank would be there too uphold the 2nd Gen winning streak, but looks like Frank might not be there either. Damn....

I almost wish I was going.

Jeff, you were the one i was talking about.

Curtis, i hope Frank shows up as well. I always enjoy watching his car run, that car is brutal. I was kinda sad when i didn't see it at the JCO Bash.

i am going this year. Trying to get the bugs worked out right now. Best time to date is a 13.75 @ 104 mph but that was last years setup and factory tires and wheels. I plan to run street tires and slicks at the bash also. Car will be coming on a trailor too incase i break something.
