before anyone says anyhting......i dont condone street racing or speedign excesivly...but
i was on this straight road and decided to see what a qtr mile run was like....well the road i drove was a little over 1/4 mile...i have a 4speed auto and it just barely made it to thrid gear let alone 4th. so my question is....at the track do you guys actually make it to 4th or was it jsut a fluke for me
It all depends on yout trap speed. My speedo is off so i don't know the exact mph each gear will take you to but i know 2nd goes to roughly 73mph and 3rd gear will take you to roughly 100mph.

I get to the top of 3rd. actually right about when I cross the 1/4 it is hitting 4th. I ran a 14.0 at 96 mph on 8 psi. So jeremy is pretty close with his interpretation.

Im not sure...but my auto '03 sunfire takes 1st to about 37....and second to about 68 or so.
