1/8th mile run of 2.2
Saturday, September 17, 2005 7:50 AM
Well, went to the 1/8th mile track last night, a crummy track that has all sorts of divots and junk at the starting line and on top of that it had just rained so conditions were horrible for racing. But to my point, I got in three runs before my battery decided to die.

First run
60' - 2.4
1/8th ET- 11.1
1/8th MPH- 63

Second run
60' - 2.378
1/8th ET- 10.98
1/8th MPH- 62.22

Third run
60' - 2.38
1/8th ET-11.0
1/8th MPH- 64

My clutch is in really bad shape I found out tonight, doing a power shift into second my clutch wouldn't grab until I was nearing the end of the run. So I believe that was hurting me the most. Other than that, does it seem like my 60' adds up with my ET and MPH?

To give you an idea of where you're at two slips of mine....

Slowest

R/T ... .689
60' ... 2.346
330 ... n/a
1/8 ... 10.531
MPH ... 67.560
1000 ... n/a
1/4 ... 16.540
MPH ... 84.230

Fastest

R/T ... .112
60' ... 2.480
330 ... 6.768
1/8 ... 10.270
MPH ... 69.86
1000 ... 13.288
1/4 ... 15.710
MPH ... 89.64

So you can compare your times to see what you might've done in the 1/4! Might want to refer to the slowest time as that's when I had full interior and only an intake and exhaust as mods.....

Your 60's are suffering (so are mine), can't figure out why you were 4-5mph slower than me and .4 behind in e/t because we're both in GA.

Do you happen to know what temp was around? humidty (guessing around 75-80% with rain)?

Plus you said your clutch was slipping so that could be the definite factor. Get that sucker fixed, strap on some nitrous and pull some high 14s-15.5's man!

bball,
yea, the temp was around 80 and the humidity had to of been close to 90%. I just put a header on and man the difference it makes. I'm actually headed to the 1/4 tommorow night up at commerce.

Definitely gonna take care of that clutch though, i'm throwing in a centerforce dual friction and fidanza flywheel. My goal is to have the quickest n/a 2.2 and one of the quicker power added 2.2's....going the nitrous route.

Hehe G*luck, you'll have to beat me, lowfire(G*luck at him alone),PJ, etc and that's no easy task considering the climate GA has....I'm making my runs up in seattle as that's where my car is and I have a few goodies waiting to be installed as I type....I need to get back up there, make a few passes, and post up some descent #'s for the OHV....
