Went to the track today and finally went down to a point where I'm pretty satisfied for my stock car ! It was pretty cool outside, about 10 C but the humidity was really high, like 85% or more. I set my tire pressure to 26 psi and finally got less @!#$ty launches. My best launch of the day was a 2.25 60'.
Here goes for the timeslip of my best time:

With three back up 15.6's but I will only post one:

my stock z automatic had a best of 16 flag at something around 20 feet above sea level.

i ran a 15.6@86 on my car and i have pretty much all of my bolt ons done and little wieght reduction (passenger seat, back seat). my best 60ft was 2.48 so thats something i gotta work on.

RAKSJ04: I launch at about 3000 rpm, I don't really know exactly but close to that. The launch is still my weak point.
Jcavi: yup gotta admit I'm proud of myself, going from 16.4 at my first try to 15.5 with nothing done engine wise. I'm still far from the guy who did 15.28, but I did get only a 2.308 60'

had a rough time last night w/ the new eco
couldnt get the launch down, probably cuz i didnt practice ANY launches ahead of time, my 1st run was my 1st ever launch in the new car, and lets say it didn't go to well lol
and the stock goodyears tires BLOW, i could only muster 16.000 w/ a @!#$ty 2.6 60'.....hell i had better 60' in my 2.2 OHV
It was a black cavy, base model, 5spd, stock tire from Gm, 14" rims.
The guy is Stephane Gadreau. Is was a member here but when he claim to run 15.2 and being stock, nobody believed him except for me. I was there. I saw it and I even race against him.
His best was 15.2. He ran alot of 15.4 like he did against me. He's from Quebec.
He did that at the same track as Dante, Napierville dragway. Usually he's at Pont-Rouge but it was not open yet when he did 15.2.
Now he's in the 13 with nitrous.

Honestly anyone who doesn't believe that 15.2 stock is possible should look at my timeslip.
15.5 with 17's and a 2.3 60'. There is room for a lot of improvement.

my first time on the strip in my z was very excrutiating and i raced a beefed up trans am
and i beat him. lol guess how
his car blew up. lol. so i won by fault but i didn't ask to race him i was just there to test out my car when i got it. i had a new muffler and that was the only mod. i will never forget the look on that drivers face. he was @!#$in screamin and jumped out of his car with a extinguiser and put it out and when i can back around after the run they where pushin it out the back gate to his trailer.
