I think you guys are looking at this a bit wrong the speed of the egine is only gonna make power if its there. there are benifts to haveing a High reving car IE longer power band and plenty of spooling fun for turbos.

but if you power band makes good power from 4500 to 7000 then you arent gonna make power at 9000 RPM.

So yes a jbody will make less power at 7000 but is it more then shifting and droping revs. thats what matters

actually that's exactly, what I think. I just didn't bother explaining it to the guy. Thanks for doing so
