14.258@99.29mph..new 1/4mile times

Hey guys,
Well, still having trouble with my 60ft times. Can't get any lower then 2.24x with takes me in down the track to 14.2x @98.94 to 99.29mph (multiple 14.2x times). I had one 2.3 60ft that ended up being a 14.428 @98.77mph and that was all from lauching at 2500rpm with Advan A032r s tires on the front at 26.5psi-28psi.

I tried a 'street launch' were you just go from idle and hammer the gas and ran a 14.390 with my best mph of 99.38 with a 2.314 6oft. So could be onto something with that start. 2 guys i race with start that way and both run consistant 2.0 60fts. One guys is in a redline (who did hit 13.7@102 with slicks on) and the other guy is in a 2nd gen with a 3400 swapped in, on street tires.

So, finally getting somewhere. 13.9's by the end of the season? i hope so. 2/10ths off the 60 is do-able for sure!

Nice times!

I'm no expert on launching, but maybe you could try launching higher and slipping the clutch a little more.

Good luck

Good job nate, who had the nitrous bottle spraying at the end of the track? I guess I missed a fast night.

But yeah, launch higher, I launch at 4500 on the slicks, 3500 with drag radials.

Owen,
dont know who had a nitrous bottle.

Scarab,
2001 2.4l engine, secret cams, rk header, gm s/c kit, 2.7" pullley, WI kit, M4 nozzle and custome cold air intake. That does it for engine mods.
