according to the rules in the locked thread..........This race will be open to Js with ANY MOTOR that came in the JBodies from the factory. This means any 2.2L OHV, 2200, LD9, 2.3 and L61 powered J is eligible.

Technically I converted a 95 2.3 to a 90HO, then transplanted it to an 89 Sunbird. I guess I'm in?

i guess, the 95 RPO code for the 2.3 was LD2, and thats the same RPO code used in 88-95 2.3 LO motors, so it could be argued that all you did is a cam swap, like most of the people that run 2.4's

but now thats just me geting tecanal, and haveing alot of time at work.

I will aloow you in. You just won't be in the NA Shootout. You'll be in one of the other events. Maybe a all J-Body bracket race or something. It's not like you won't be there anyways, as long as work doesn't interfere. LOL.

^ Ryne, get to me with all the info. If you do a J-Body Bracket race, my club will help sponsor it.

so the date is confirmed for the June Import Wars? I already have like 4-5 guys from my club ready to attend. just need full info on it all when you get it.

why not do the July Import Wars instead though. Its the Saturday nite event. You can start the J-Body Shootout earlier in the day before the Import Wars Event Starts, then some can also do the Import Wars Racing, Show, and/or Sound Comp. And anyone that stays the nite can head up to Miller Park on Sunday for some AutoX. Just an idea.

Because this isn't officially sanctioned by GLD. I'm still talking to them about it. So far all I've guaranteed is some lanes because of my buddies there, not sure if we'll even get to make a J-Body Bracket....might just end up being heads-up fun runs all day until the classes. Plus I always ask for Sundays off from job I apply to...Saturdays aren't guaranteed for me

Gotta find a job first. Got two good offers but nothing ever pans out. If I don't get a job soon I'll have to go drive a semi for a year or so and make some cash that way.

If we get enough Boosted/Injected cars to come out I may have 2 seperate shootouts, along with all the match racing.

A question. I realize there will be a lot of people wanting to race certain people, but in the shootouts (lets just go with the NA one) how will people be matched up? first in line with second in line etc...? I think it should be you race everyone in that class. For example say there is 8 NA cars. Everyone races 7times (basicly you raced everyone in your class). Then take the top 4 or so best records to shootout. Just a idea.

The plan was for the four main guys, the Top 4 NA guys, to match race each other making sure everyone ran everyone else. If we do classes and shootouts with more than 4 guys I'll try and ensure that's still how it goes, best record wins and any ties are settled with run offs.

The match races will be choose your opponent and run.
