i saw him at the track in muncie, IN last week and he ran a 16.1 he asked me if i wanted 2 race him next weekend i dont know if its worth it.
My cavy has cat back exhaust, no cat, no resonator, header, 4 speed auto, air intake, upper poly motor mount
The del sol has a intake header exhaust and its a 5 speed
help is needed cause i dont want to waist my time if im gonna get beat
my best run 2 dat was a 15.6

Ugh...Don't really get what your asking? Racing is racing. Just enjoy it. If the del sol wants to race you because he thinks he is fast then race him. If you can't take a loss then you need to find a new sport and not race.

ok thanks thats all i neede 2 know cause i saw him run and i was like thats a small car and i thought it should be running low 15's but his fastest run outta 3 runs was 16.1 i was suprised. I didnt run that night

The Del Sol was an odd creation. They seemed to take everything that was good about the CRX and then kill it by adding huge weight to take the roof off.

U shouldn't have any problems at all.
Some come with B16's, and they are quick, but most come with the SOHC D16, and a real slow.

Yank stall convertor for one(Team Green LSD),nitrous for two,get that lower mount,B&M ShiftPlus,and lightweight pullies,lighter tire/rim setup.

No worries...I ran a 16.8 and a 16.5, but the car was running 15.6 last year. Remove the chip (not able to do that unless <95) If you want a tune find someone close to you with HPT (make sure they know what they are doing). Should invest in a crank pulley like BIGGSZ24 stated...being Auto I don't believe an underdrive pulley is an option, but don't quote me on it. Good luck!

WITH a b16a1/2 swapped in, power steering and ac removed, the car comes in at a little over 2400 pounds. Hardly a pig.

Not sure where you got that info. Curb weights ranged from between 2302 to 2522 depending on trim level and options. A far cry from 3k.

the del sol is proably sohc. most of the del sol's were sohc and some came dohc but that was the rare si model.
