I was just wondering if a 16.11 at 87.11 was good for a 97 z24.. I looked on here and couldnt find any time slips for them. My 60foot sucked I launched it like i do on the street and it justed bogged.

RT. 200
60 2.557
330 6.916
1/8 10.480
mph 68.83
1000 13.540
1/4 16.116
mph 87.11

It hit the rev limter in third. I dont have 4th so i didnt want to shift into 5th. I was just wondering what a good time for my car should be

Well temp & humidity play a HUGE factor which you dont have listed but that aside i think the 1/4 time is awesome. I mean you didnt get a great launch and you clearly have a fooked Tranny + even with a extremely well maintained engine Id say thats a great performance with 170,000 miles. Congrats

P.S. Get that tranny fixed and run her till she dies!

You should be running faster,I ran a 16.7 first time with only a wai and full audio, spare tire, and heavy tire/rim combo.Oh and my car is ALOT heavier than yours. But get that trans. fixed and keep practicing.

With that run I just launched it like I do on the street it was like a 1k let the clutch out to right before the car starts to move then slip it the rest of the way. I couldnt get the car to stop bogging down at the start i did a 2k slip and it spun a litte and got a 2.7 60. If i could have had a couple more runs I could have probably got a 2.2 60. Im just going to keep it with no 4th. I cant find a new trans for less then 800 and I would rather spend 800 on my camaro. BTw my car still has the spare tire and everything in it. Its a striper car tho with no power options at all, I dont even have a rear defroster.

Not a bad time at all. improve the 60ft and you might get a 15.9.

Hell, if he gets the sixty-foot down to a decent 2.2 he should be mid 15's.

O noes!

Thats not bad at all, i ran a 16.1 with my full exhaust and intake, but then again i live in utah, altitude kills cars up here.

Not knockin' ya' or anything but 16's are slow for our cars.Considering the manual Eco 2.2's are running 15's stock.Intake and exhaust isn't going to do much.

High 15's and low 16's are good. All those "low 15's" B.S. times are under perfect conditions with wieght reduction etc. For a normal DD car with the goodies you cant complain with a 16.1 at all but i do believe you are capable of getting under 16 on a good run "petey".
