if you can't find any autocross events its becasue your lazy
Thanks for the info guys, I cant wait to try it, only mod i think I will do is upgrade the struts and get some rims with some decent tires on there. I want to find class to take on it, are they just like weekend classes?
yeah usually couple hundred bucks and a single all day event
Looking at what car you have. Id say its in a good class to try its hands at FSP, or F Street Prepared. This is the class i ran this year, and even went to the Nationals on. Don't get discouraged by people telling you to sell it. i believe mine has been a great platform to learn on. I've been racing my 01 2200 since september of 2001. It taught me a lot about car setup, how to manage over and under-steer. I believe the 2.2 ohv has good potential at local events, but if eventually you decide to go to the nats, invest in an eco swap and some Wide wheels and tires..."steam rollers" as we call them.
Speed is relative. But the feeling is absolute.
I think I have heard of Autox before...maybe I will try.
But yes, I recomend a school as well. Go to an Evolution school if possible. I did the car modifying thing first and did two seasons. I got a little better. But After I did an evolution school, I found out just how little i knew about good driving. It was by far the best money I spent on autox.
Go Go OG Traction!!
