x2

I am working on getting into the 14's...doing a few things to the car monday...I'm going to the test and tune the next tuesday I have off, should have a set of slicks by then too...hoping for a mid 14.

Slicks are a more than a litle overkill. Until you are consistently in the 13's you don't have any bussiness running drag radials or drag slicks IMO.

How many of you guys ran without the use of giggle gas?? My runs wernt even with alcohol. Didint need it with the S/C build.

Re: official m45 1/4 mile times

i wasnt on alky or nitrous

Re: official m45 1/4 mile times

Neither was I, that is why I asked. I would like to know if those guys were able to break into the 13's without giggle gas.

If I had the money I would attempt another S/C build, but the S/C kit would add about $1500 to my rebuild assuming I didnt dick with it. I know that if I had a S/C in good condition I could have done better.

no nitrous...no alcy

though i am running with the prototype supercharger with the oversized crank pully pushing 13psi...and the normal cai, header, exhaust

im sure with better tires i would have been in 13's

Wow 13 PSI.

I was only pushing 7.5 PSI. Ported head and HO cams FTW.

my 14.2-.13.9 runs were with out N20, all with a 130K mile stock car, the 13.7 run was with a 30 shot dry, only spraying 1-2nd gear... my switch owned me.

I ran on 93 octange, no alky, no nitrous

Now if i ran the car i honestly think i would break 13.7-13.5 with a tune with my new mods since the 13.9 run

I don't need any giggle gas, it's only a AUTOMATIC sunfire.

I would live to redo my S/C build and actualy play around with the program this time around. I didint have HPT when I ran the engine. Have it now though and would like to play around again.

I think it would be a whole nother ball game this time around if you were to do it again. Where did you get a 2.4 pulley fronm again? I think I might have asked you that once before.

18" rims won't help

Pulley Boys, it is actualy offered for the M90. If I did it again the only mechanical differance would be the head work and bigger cams. I would go with 10:1 CR again. maybe even get the S/C worked over a little.

as long as you prep correctly...heat won't affect too much...all i did was ice the supercharger between runs and gave it alot of time to cool off

no alcy and im in arizona

not saying alcy doesn't help though

!!

heat does a lot..... KR, denser air charge, more timing, leaner AFR (safer)...

on a 95* day, with water injection, my intake air temps were 75*....

water injection really makes this set up work.

but what do I know about racing it.

Ill be spraying for sure at the bash, I need to hurry up and get alchy but dont know if Ill be able to before then.

Clyde you ran a 2.4 pulley with no alchy? I can definitely feel when my sc gets hot, Ill see 7-8psi when its like 60 degrees or below but in this heat I barely see 5psi.

Re: official m45 1/4 mile times

i know heat affects it...trust me hence why i said not much. the sc heat soaks like a mofo. thats why i sat an ice bag on mine between runs untill the sc was cold to the touch....then i ran it
