Driver Mod makes all the difference.
WAI, motor mounts. Removed the spare tire. Rear tires at 44 PSI, front at 30.

Not sure, timeslips didn't have 1/8th mile, should be between 9.7-9.8 tho.
I have ran a 9.8 in the 1/8th at a different drag strip, however that was without the DR's.
Thats still better than me, best time was 10.105 at around 70 mph. RKSport short ram, gutted cat, and a Prothane bushing kit. Tires, Eagle LS aired down to 19.5 psi.
I miss my Sunfire, I want it back!
MMMM, HIDs
You will be missed.
Probally went a little to low on the air pressure, radials don't like to be run low on air...the center lifts up and you lose alot of traction.
I cut a low 2.1 60' on Eagle LS with 28 pounds in them, ive run a 10.1 before and i was trapping 73-74 mph, you were probally losing mph because your tire pressure was too low.
EVOFire {DesertTuners} wrote:The drivier mod makes a difference, i will attest to that, but it seems these people are claiming to run better then the professional driver did when testing the car....if thats the case, then maybe all those guy above should be pro drivers...15.2 in a nearly stock car is almost impossible for the average driver to get...
stock car also meaning curb weight. race weight is different.
curb weight includes a certain amount of luggage, the avg weight of a person, and a full tank of gas.
racing, I usually remove the spare tire and jack, run 1/4 tank or less, and I weigh a lil less than the avg person
with similar mods I was running 14.9-15.1 @ 91mph and mandy was running 14.8-15.0 @ 92mph
my car at the time: intake, catback exhaust, motor mounts, trans mounts, fidanza flywheel, spec stg 3 clutch
mandys car at the time: intake, 4-2-1 header, hi flow cat, borla cat-back, motor mounts
not at all unattainable, "professional drivers" are usually fat magazine editors.

Wow i need to get DR's. I ran 15.166 on street tires spinning out of the hole. All my mods are home-made, professionally, except for the suspension. I can taste 14's!!!!
The racing springs dropped my 60' and my 1/8 rather nicely. My car didn't do 'the squat' when shifting and in theory that recovered some lost torque.
LOL, lost torque... from a four cylinder...
Just got back from Cayuga Racetrack....
No new mods and this time i wasn't on drag radials.
60' .....2.215
1/8......9.676
MPH...73.64
1/4......15.020
MPH....91.32
Super Happy about that
awesome time man good job
thanks man !

13.1 @ 115
Is that on the 50 shot? Cause i see you got quite a bit of engine work done there?
no that was on all motor with a .6 reaction time. stock tires though. idk wat it runs on nitrous havent had the chance to run it
13.1 @ 115
Not to bad at all for an auto with those mods.
