So I just got home from running the cav at the track. Mods aem cold air intake, 2.25" catback. I am pretty happy with the results of the passes. I figure for the kinda heavy 18's and it was slightly humid out, that the car ran pretty decent!

330ft - 6.753
1/8th - 10.285
mph - 71.41
1000ft - 13.341
1/4 - 15.994
mph- 86.93

run 2
60ft - 2.334
330ft - 6.683
1/8th - 10.207
mph - 71.61
1000ft - 13.278
1/4 - 15.905
mph- 85.93

run 3

Pretty good times! Those rims definately costed you a tenth or two. Work on the launch and the times will start to fall.

What is there to work on launch wise with a auto?

Try different techniques. stall it up as high as you can and hit it when the light turns green. Next time flash the converter and see how that goes. Experiment with tire pressure. There are several things you can try. We have the advantage at the track with our autos you just have to find the right technique for your car. If you have decent track prep, i would suggest not lowering the tire pressure and flashing it. The best mod you can do for your auto is a stall converter. We are limited in resources for this mod but if you can get ahold of one, it will make a huge difference at the track.

the 2.3 60ft was holding it on the converter, I have been racing for a lil while now off and on. I know how to do different things with it. Your not going to get that great of a 60 ft with a stock auto.

I agree your times look decent given its an auto and rollin on 18's. It's cool if you were just playing/testing it out, but you could be in the mid 15's with 14-15" wheels...

Never done the 1/4 with my cav, but I have run 10.15 in the 8th in a bone stock 5 speed. Gives me a good idea where I might be if I were to go the 1/4. Pretty good times I'd say.
