I have a buddy that ran a 15.2 with a bone stock 04 5 speed.
His Calais ran a 14.6 with what ended up being a cracked head.

It took me awhile to go from my very first ever run of 16.7 in the quarter to a consistent 15.6.
Lots of seat time and paying attention to my 60 foots more than my et's yielded some very consistent times but also some nice 15.6's.
Not bad for an auto with all the bolt ons and a very restrictive exhaust that would be my ultimate plateau for speed.
If I had a stick tranny, I'm probably be in the low 15's with good exhaust and good driving. Driving an auto in the quarter mile isn't that hard until it comes to the consistency and control at the tree.
I think what helped me the most in dropping the last couple of tenths into the mid 15's was tire tuning the car. Less tire up front and watching the 60 foots from run to run until the perfect formula was figured out.
I eventually figured it out and went with it for consistent 2.2 60 foot times with a very best of 2.09 in the 60'.
So Brad, get out there and just do it man. It takes practice and lots of it.

and james- wow, you got a 2.0 60 foot? that is amazing. you're car has to just scream out of the hole. and lol i gotta have a car that runs/drives first long before i can get it to a track. i wont be racing the auto all that much. my 5spd car is the track slut.. and with over 300 passes in it i dont think anyone would refute that fact.

and yes are track does suck! people claim they run about .5 second faster else where and some a 1 whole sec
i hit a 14.4 with a 94mph trap
then a 14.5 with a 95mph trap

as for tune i think ill be pickin it up this weekend idk for sure yet though i have mon wed off so maybe i can do somethin seein if the parts store has a 125 shot jets if no were goin bigger
