this thread makes me want to do naughty things to my 2004. things that would put the skwirl's old n/a setup to shame... things I probably shouldn't be thinking about.

14.9 @ 91mph with a stock engine and some bolt ons...
after the head, cams, injectors, and a decent tune..

14.3 @ 95mph
14.10 @ 97mph
14.00 @ 97mph

no weight reduction

PJ dont worry I will hit the 14.0 mark lol, just because thee guys are slow doesn`t mean I have to suffer lol, helps being in Canada lol, better air, beautiful women, and lots of s*x lol, anyways it not that hard for me top drop to 14.0 now lol, few mods and I may pass it

I really don't think I need to worry..........

There is one person here that knows the right questions to ask....(Brad).... And AJ seems to be up and coming.......(still has the wrong oil pump pick up....)

As for Karo.. he's got a REALLY NICE Toy....And that's all I'm saying, But the first thought you just had.. right now, is wrong.

I will say this though.

IF you where building a 250 HP NA 2.4/2.3 you MAY want to CALL him... he has SOME things that would HELP A LOT.
it may NOT BE LISTED on this web site.

When I see Brad, No doubt he will be picking my brain....

but the King pin for Tuning\Building is really ProtoMec.... If you can con him in to doing it (pay)

Word has it he gets paid to do things like that... But we don't talk about it here, After all people may listen to him then.

Read Between the lines any you may have a good start.

Good Day

Chris I like my pump lol, Mellings has given me good luck with the bored feeds, hasn't given problems yet, shes not dropping in pressure, and if you look at trap speed all I need is traction to become 3rd on 1/4 list, I got the power though

and ditching rotating mass will help.

.........

I could go on about loosing rotating mass and what not. I love the melling pump, every LD9 I built had it.....

I love LG0's though and would never race a stock bottom end LD9 with that oil pump pick up. the pump itself is fine, but counter rotating shafts, and a oil pick up between them... not good math.

lol, ya I am using mellings, but my bottom end not stock only things stock are shafts, and crank, the pistons, rods, bearings, head.....etc are not, but by the looks of it not going to be too much longer to take the number 3 spot on 1/4 sticky lol:p , but I cant expect 1st or second judging by the times

lol aj...

paul managed to ditch 300lbs off his car this week. it now weighs 3540 with him in it.

so... 14.8 - 300lbs = 14.5

I can keep weight reduction, all I need is a clutch and flywheel to do 14.5 lol, mine is toast. and 300..........well I could do what Levi did..........sure I can remove bit more lol, but this is my family car lol. and she ONLY weighs 2700 without subs and me in it so not that bad, but for me having less done and beating him..........well damn son thats an honor lol, not to mention I still have cams, injectors, "special toys" to install but maybe not till after winter or during not sure yet, next year big numbers to be expected........I may not catch Karo but second sounds nice to me
