First Track Day This Year
Saturday, September 12, 2009 2:50 PM
I have to say I went in afraid that my new exhaust was choking the engine. At the Bash I could only pull a 16.2, but it was high 90's and humid.

But I'm happy to say that tonight went well. Pulled a couple 2.1 60 foots, and I can make it into 4th gear now. I used to cross the line at about 6100rpm in third.

I took out the floor mats, subs, spare tire, spare tire cover, and jack out of the car. Front tires were at 29psi and rear tires were at 50psi.

So, on to the slips and vids. I did 11 runs, and left early because the track was getting too cold and I was slowing down. This was my 7th...

R/T .599
60' 2.190
330' 6.446
1/8 9.977
MPH 70.03
1000' 12.983
1/4 15.531
MPH 88.07

Second fastest was my 5th run, forgot to start the camera though. Front tires were at 30psi.

R/T .649
60' 2.230
330' 6.478
1/8 10.022
MPH 69.78
1000' 13.033
1/4 15.585
MPH 87.77

Third fastest was my 8th run.

R/T .539
60' 2.284
330' 6.510
1/8 10.039
MPH 69.99
1000' 13.048
1/4 15.597
MPH 87.93

And here are the slips

My fastest 60' was a 2.150 when the tires were at 30 psi, which I was very happy with

I'm planning on going back next Friday, so any advise would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Brad.

Anyone have any advice for next week? I'd really appreciate it.

Hahaha, thanks Gary.

It's definitely going on more of a diet before this weekend.

Dang son!
We both are running much better then we did at the bash.
I went to my local 1/8th mile track a couple weeks ago and was pulling 10 flats with one 9.9.

That's more like it, pulling 16.3's all day was heart breaking in OH.

We were a real close race, which made it a ton of fun, and the different shift points made it even better.

This year you and Dan are going to be leaving me in the dust, I'll just have to find some twistys so I can keep up

I'll be right with ya there too
I got the basics, eibach sways, trying to track down some aluminum control arms, plus lots of sub frame braces(much like you've made) I'll be making at school.
I'm hitting next years autocross full force buddy!

I've been doing some major upgrading lately
