Hi guys. New PB times for Jay Van..
Saturday, September 12, 2009 11:53 PM
I havnt been on this site in quite a while! Today a few of us went out to Lapeer "International" Dragway for a test and tune session. Gorgeous day. All sunshine and low 70s temps. Track wasnt too crowded and quite a few people came out from our crew. The line up included Jeff's SRT4 Calibur with Mopar stage 1 tune, Jon's stroker Z06 Vette, Pam's Evo 9, Dan's 4.6L Mustang with I/H/E, suspension, and a tune, Chad's drop top stang, an 05ish STI, and my buddy Matt's Subaru Impreza 2.5rs with 2.0T swap and STI trans along with bigger turbo and huge FMIC. I'm pretty sure everyone running today got a new personal best themselves! Only "non street" enhancements were pulling the spare tire/jack, pulling the rear seat, and running my 225/45/17 BFG drag radials with 15psi in them. I drove to the track like this so I'm going to call it street trim! Had a blast and here are my top 3 runs as of now.

Reaction: .845
60 Ft: 2.031
1/8 ET: 8.578
1/8 MPH: 88.88
1/4 ET: 13.112
1/4 MPH: 107.90

Reaction: .620
60 Ft: 2.089
1/8 ET: 8.676
1/8 MPH: 89.10
1/4 ET: 13.194
1/4 MPH: 108.10

Reaction: .675
60 Ft: 1.972
1/8 ET: 8.425
1/8 MPH: 90.34
1/4 ET: 12.899
1/4 MPH: 108.99

As you can see my 60 ft times are where I need to focus. I would have liked to back up my 12 second run but it was towards the end of the day and I can only abuse the car so much before I feel bad about it.

Big thanks to Jon for bringing his HP tuning software and allowing me to data log my runs. Also thanks to Brandon for playing with the tune a bit!! Couldnt have done it without you guys.

I plan on one more track day when the weather is in the mid 60s and after I tweak a few things. Overall I am super happy with today. I guess I'm not doing to bad for a 2.4L running 10psi with a stock head, stock bottom end, and a stock clutch with 50k on it.

Thanks for giving me a hand this time around. Your more than welcome to play with the car anytime you want! I enjoyed watching it run down the track with you driving it. Your only the 2nd person to do that so feel honored! Last time that happend the car had just an intake!

Im hoping to have Jon's Racetronix fuel pump installed by the next track day also. Going on 90k with stocker is scary.

yup, only 10 psi. I believe HP tuners logged it as 75kpa which roughly translates to 10.8psi.

Brandon can confirm that.

100 octane + high 40s to mid 50 temps + more tuning with Jon = backing up that 12 this weekend.

I will update with my latest runs. My new goal is quite greedy.
