just ran my pretty quick OHV...

to make a long story short, I got my car running again after being down for 5 months and here's my best times for the day:

best 60' - 2.200 seconds

best e/t - 15.769@85.5mph

2200 OHV 5 speed cavalier

P&P 5 angle valve job, intake, 4:1 header, no cat, motor mounts, full interior, removed spare and jack, stock tires

my clutch was slipping pretty bad I can't chirp 2nd gear anymore, but my quest to make my car as fast as twin cams is slowly starting to be realized.... lemme know what you think of the times

i'm really confident the car will be faster with a new clutch... and since I'll be in the area I'm thinking lighter flywheel and possibly phantom grip... as well as putting my tranny mounts in

also my exhaust doesn't flow very well, so I have some new stuff in the works that should help higher end flow a little and squeeze more top end out of it (less flanges, more welding)

I'm going to run mine on the 30th at Gainesville Raceway to see what my mods have done. I don't have a pre-mod baseline to reference it to though.
I know I still have to change the gears on the drive chain to get alittle more effective gearing and a higher stall torque converter, stock is 2375rpm and ther are stock converters rated at 2560rpm and 2795rpm. I'm thinking of 2795, an additional 420 rpm and still using stock parts!
