thats not bad . but seeming you have a fully built motor on slicks its not to impressive. I went 14.0 at 99.8 on my stock everything running a t3 super 60 at 10 psi on drag radials burning the clutch the whole way. I kinda think there is something wrong somewere in your set up. but good luck

I know the 14.1 1/4th time is not impressive. That was my first time ever running the car with slicks. On the first couple of 1/4th runs, I was spinning the slicks through 1st and 2nd gear. I couldnt launch the car hard or it would spin....So I had to ease off the clutch and ease into the throttle.. That is why my 60ft time was so crappy... 2.29 60ft. The 1/8th mile time was a 9.2 at that track.

So at the 1/4th track, I ran a 14.1 @ 101mph with a 2.29 60ft ...the 1/8th time on that run was a 9.2 @ 80mph.

Two days later I went to a 1/8th that had way better track prep. I was able to launch the car at 4500 rpm on the slicks without spinning!!!!
My best that day was a 8.42 @ 80mph with a 1.82 60ft. I can probably launch a little bit harder at 5,000 rpm and maybe cut a 1.7 60ft and get the time down to 8.3 1/8th mile. I might also be able to raise the tire pressure without spinning and get a higher mph.

Lets compare
2.29 60ft vs 1.82 60ft
9.2 1/8th vs 8.42 1/8th
80mph vs 80mph
14.1 1/4th mile vs Estimated 13.0-13.2 1/4th mile

The 1/8th mile seems pretty impressive to me for a 2.2 ohv with 13 psi, slicks, LSD, and coilovers. So I think that my set up is doing very good for what little it is. I know that I surprised alot of other people that day, including myself .

I am hoping for a 8.3 1/8th mile next time I go out if the car can still hook up.

Alls i know is NEXT time you go...i want to be there.

I want ya to turn up that boost!!! BTW...thanks for gettin the firing order backwards on Alex's car. Well, my car now

We worked for like 2 hrs straight trying to figure it out. Finally we checked mine and checked the cavvy and sure enough...all backwards. We drained all the fuel and stuck some new plugs in and some fresh gas...fired right up.

So, you suck!! NO MORE WIRING FOR YOU!! LoL

j/k

BTW...this cav has a nice life ahead of it. Built motor, headwork and turbo kit.

Alex also gave me the MF2 with the 2 injectors, pipe, line and psi guage. Accel fuel psi regulator and walbro 255lph pump. I think the fuel is covered. ALso got the turbo manifold and wastegate, intercooler pipes and lots of lines.

Basically need Intercooler, Turbo, downpipe, and blow off valve.

This thing will be boosted again!!!

(BTW, the pump and regulator are still already installed )

sorry for jackin your thread!!

Hey, its not complety my fault about the firing order. I was underneath the car while they were telling me which the clyinder the wires went to.

Have you already started on your motor build up? What size turbo are you wanting to go with?

I will make a post about when I plan on going back out to the track, but right now the car is down. My transmission was starting to shift funny. I dropped the trans and took it over to Mike Karas house so he could tear it apart. He said that everything looked fine. I am going to take the trans to someone else to tomorrow to look at it.

As far as turbo....probably something similer to what Alex ran....

He ran a "Custom T3/T04E Stage 2 Turbo-Turbonetics Exhaust Housing/Garrett Compressor"

Im thinking something similer...or maybe a super 60? I dunno...im still learning the turbo stuff right now. As far as build up on the motor....i havnt even got a chance to change the oil yet, although i did buy the oil and filter today

RIght now im focusing on gettin the exhaust welded up (found downpipe today) so i can atleast get it inspected. Then probably gonna fix a couple dings and get the front bumper fixed and painted. Then start putting back some extra cash for the rods, pistons, all new bearings, headwork (cheap ), timing chain, oil pump and headgasket set. Once its together i guess ill start peicing together the kit.

Me and my friend are swapping in a h22a in his accord right now and then turboing it (fully built motor/sleeved etc) and he knows more than i when it comes to boost. Its gonna be a learning process.

I hope to have this done by this year but who knows. When it comes to tuning, i dont know what ill do. Probably end up gettin ahold of Mike to possibly tune it on the dyno. I dont really KNOW the guy but i sure would like to. Alex seems to know him pretty well..

O well...im ramblin!
