Well here is what the engine motor mount bracket is supposed to look like minus this crack

here is what mine looked like when i removed it this afternoon

So where the single bolt is thats the bolt that snapped and that caused the mount to be ripped in 2 lol

The front single bolt came loose on me about a month ago which i though was strange but i dd not think too much of it just tightened it back up. when we examined the bolt it snapped when we removed everything we could see it was 1/2 broke and just snapped the rest of the way. so when the front bold snapped only the rear was attached. and when i launched i am sure the twist in the engine caused it to snap the rest of the way.

I have replaced the mount witn 3 new bolts and locktited them into the block so they should not come loose anymore. its probably more of a freakthing that it broke. and could be from he accident my ecotec swap car was in.........i should of checked that before i installed my motor but you know that something you never think of checking because how often does that break..........

but i do have Polly tranny mounts, lower engine mounts and control arm bushings. but i know ALOT of eco guys that are like that just like me... i have ordered a upper mount just to make sure everything else is solid to make sure it does not happen again.

How hard is it to swap on the 2.4?

Darren i cannot see it being any more difficult than the Eco

i undid the lower engine mount and took off all the upper stuff.

Jacked up the engine as high as i could and there was enought room to remove all teh bolts and the right angle to stick a drill into the broken one. my front bolt came loose 2 months ago..........we found a strange clicking noise the day before the bash my dad just said if it breaks tow it home it broke so it got towed home hahaha
