Sunfire is gone but protects wife and child
Tuesday, May 03, 2005 4:40 PM
Yup, my baby gave her life to protect my 9 month pregnant wife. I am proud of her. Really the damage wasn't anything severe, but the adjuster wanted to total her. Both my wife and unborn son are doing fine, just a little shook up.

So I spent all day today stripping her and I still have more to go. It is kind of nice spending the time w/ her though and I don't want to be around when they pick her up...

But I have lots of parts for sale if anyone is interested. Gotta go and buy a new car now to keep the miles off the Evo...shoot me an e-mail @ halbrain@bellsouth.net w/ offers.

Hal

Great to hear the family is ok. That's the most important thing, but you already know that.
Sometimes you have to sacrifice one for the other.

What kind of stuff made it through? I may be interested in the mounts and such if they are still good.

Actually, the stuff I may be interested in is:

Upper and lower mounts
pulleys
and possibly:
strut bar
rear sway

lemme know what the price is for each when you get a chance.

(hope it doesn't seem like all i care about is the parts)

Thanks for the sympathy guys.

My Car, you have mail.

And yeah BaggedCav, I have an Evo. I have been putting some toys on her. That is why I haven't been posting much these past 2 days. She now has GSC 272/264 cams, Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, and a reflashed ECU (on top of a 3" turbo back exhaust and manual boost controller and a couple other odds and ends). She should be right around 340 to 350 AWHP. I will dyno her soon to know for sure.
