finally, an explanation. thank you.

What I do not understand is why you thought you deserved a explanation of what happened. not your car, or your brother. Who cares why it happened? You can't say sorry, glad your ok anyways? SO if it was his fault you then have to be a dick???? It was not posted on the ORG for you to pass judgement on. It was posted to let people know.

First, I want to add that I am very glad to hear he is ok. I do not know anyone involved on a personal level at all. But from what I have heard and seen up to this point the entire family seems very respectable and respectful. The car is a tragedy, the outcome of injuries is flat out astounding and a very good thing to hear. Best wishes to all of you, HOWEVER, I do need to be a downer for a moment about the above quoted statement lol..

If someone caused their car to look like that, survived, especialy with relatively minimal injuries, and it was all a result of street racing, showboating, or just driving like a moron for no reason..ESPECIALY if alcohol or drugs were involved, sorry would not be in a single thing I said to them or about them. I wouldn't feel sorry for them one bit... so no... "sorry, glad you're ok" isn't anything I would say, and I'm sure Tony wouldn't either... just my own view on things. this clearly is not the case with this incident though, but just saying...

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

i wouldn't have commented saying "sorry, anyway" if it had been him being reckless. im not like you John, i wouldn't go around preaching like a dick. i certainly don't see why you're getting all butt-hurt cause i wanted an explanation of what happened.

who cares why it happened? i do. im not going to offer condolences to someone who destroyed a beautiful car by being stupid, but i will offer condolences to someone who didn't deserve to have this tragedy (which is what happened).

How do I go around preaching like a dick?? please advise me.

Let me add that I do not agree with drinking and driving, and agree street racing is wrong and illegal. Had he been doing any of those things I would agree that it was his fault. That is not to say I can't be like glad you are ok, or glad your alive. Maybe sucks the car was jacked up. I damn sure would not have asked him to explain himself. This post was not made to ask us to say sorry. It was made ot let us know this car is gone.

The reason people are "butt hurt" about this post is because of how arrogant you sound. Like people are just dying to hear what your opinion is on this situation. Im not saying thats how you meant to come across because i dont think it is. Maybe it could have been worded better?

im not tony's biggest fan half the time, but i think you guys are jumping down his throat, and him wanting an explanation wasnt all that big of a deal
sorry to see the car destroyed like that, i dont know how id feel if my mustang ever ended up like that
but its a good thing to see he is relatively unscathed from the looks of the accident
people are always more important than cars, so id rather take the broken car over the broken person any day

Derek and Brandon are brothers. it was their father, Chris, who posted the explanation of what happened.

Yeah, that really sucks.. Im glad Derek's still here today, Ive never met him before. But after meeting Brandon, I can tell how of a good guy Derek can be like his big brother Brandon.

Ive seen more pictures than this one posted. Those doesnt look too good at all.. he must be really lucky to walk away alive.

Derek, keep your head up! Whats next for ya?

Thanks everyone, I will miss the car but I am still walking and talking and thats all that matters. I do plan on getting another sunfire 2.2 5speed same body style if anyone knows of one that they want to sell let me know. I dont plan on going crazy on this one as I did the other one but it will look nice as always. I do think that the motor is ok and plan on pulling it out of the car and making the new car more for speed like my brothers but doing it with the 2.2. Thanks again and I will be keeping everyone updated on the new car as soon as I get it and start modding it.

Cheers,
