For the car to run best, you really sure run the highest grade possible. We've had cars come in complaining on engine pinging and it was from not a high enough octane gas

I have seen the z up close

because my friend owns one and was visiting (you can see my car in the background) I did like his car but I would rather have a G35. The z is fine for 20 year olds but if you keep it stock it kinda gets bland after a while. The G35 is a very nice car, it looks sporty and sophisticated at the same time and it's beefy, like something a man with a kilt would wear.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!

That's funny

I figure if they're the same platform, I'll get G35, maybe the X, maybe the coupe.. I'm still undecided. It's the kind of car that you can make into a Tuner car, or a Big Dog Cruiser without drawing a bad word from either side. I like that kind of flexibility. Just change the shoes and it's a new car.

I started pricing them around Ohio and its a lil more that a brand new cobalt so as soon as I sell at least 1 of my cars I'm going to be seriously looking at getting a g35 coupe Auto so we shall see.

Why get an auto?

I was thinking of it because the majority of my driving is stop and go, and I'm still up in the air about getting an X, but, I'm still thinking that an X with a 6 spd would be awesome.

Pesonally I'd wait. Since competition (Lexus GS, BMW 3 Series, et al.) has heated up, and it's time for a redo. The 3.5-liter V6 remains in the G35 but will be updated for more mileage, cleaner emissions and just better than 300 hp. The full glass roof and 20-inch wheels seen here are all show (boohoo). The redesign should fare well through 2010 when a fully refreshed G35 launches. The coupe will go on sale midyear, along with the next G35 sedan, which debuts at New York in April.

Im biased, but I'll give it a shot.

Z = Sports car feel. Everything about it is geared towards being a raw sports car. It is NOT an uncomftorble ride. The ride is stiff, then again the handling is awesome. The interior is somewhat cheap, but it does not rattle. The exhaust note is the best ever.

G35 = Luxury all the way around. There is not really a point in having a backseat, I have sat in them and it is horrible. The G is only 8" longer than the Z. They are a tad bit heavier than the Z, and everyone knows that the Z is too heavy.

Overall im VERY happy with what I got and Im glad I saved the extra money that I would have spent on the G to upgrade the Z. The Z looks a lot better anyways. IMO

Check out my350z.com this has been discussed over and over again.

MR Goodwrench: Awesome pics...

I'd love to wait and buy a new one, but really, only someone that wants to pay out the depreciation buys new... I don't have that kind of money to throw around, that's why I'm looking at off-lease stuff.

The new one looks great, and it also looks REEEEEAL expensive as well, They sticker in Canada new (with no options) for just over $48,000. I can pick up an off-lease 2-3 yr old used one for less than $25,000 and get a warranty from an Infiniti pre-owned car dealership.

By the time I can afford a new one, I'm not going to be looking @ Infiniti, I'll be looking @ BMW or Mercedes offerings, or maybe a GT-R Skyline.

Ecotec power: I know, I was just saying the X w/6spd would be sweet

Clay: I'd get the G35 because the insurance is signifcantly lower (4 seats = low insurance), and my original intent was to get a sedan(4 doors = very low insurance). I'd go with the Coupe also, mainly because I prefer the styling, and major exterior modifications are not my priority. The MOST I think I'd do a CF hood and a front bumper cover swap to one of the coupe's (if it fit) and maybe a small lip kit after wheels. Those are VERY BIG maybe's, I love the way the coupe and sedan look out of the box. Somehow the front end of a 350Z doesn't grab me the same way.
