The Civilier's Replacement...
Tuesday, December 09, 2008 6:46 AM
Well, after selling the cavalier Sunday, Christina and I picked up the new ride last night. Say hello to our 2009 Jeep Liberty Limited 4x4. Quite a change, I know, but this vehicle fits our lifestyle now a little more than the cavalier did. We no longer spend our weekends cooped up inside at some car show. We now spend our weekends out and about, hiking, biking, and canoeing. We're also hoping to move to Colorado sometime in the near future.

Sorry about the pictures not being the best quality. When we picked the Jeep up last night we were in the middle of a snow storm and now this morning it's pouring rain.

I love this... the new Skyslider roof. The entire roof opens up. Can't wait for spring!

I too am not much of a Jeep fan, never have been. For what you're doing though, it should be great. Hope you enjoy!

Ian Lacey.... havent seen that name pop up on here in years!
I didnt know you sitll have the Cavalier.
Im sure it was sad to see it go, but it was about time!
Congrats on the new jeep! while I personally dont like them at all, my gf drives the exact same thing (just with leather) and shes in love with it! I did like it last winter during a snow storm when I had my 22s on my car already (idiot) and the 4 wheel drive worked wonders!
Enjoy it, love the versitility, and try not to think about the Cavalier too much, it may get depressing, that thing was my insiration years ago!

My parents just purchased the exact same Jeep yesterday....Never have I seen a worse interior. Plastic lining cheap plastic with accents of plasticky garbage. Terrible.

Truck itself seems pretty nice though. hopefully it holds its value.

Entire dash and centre console is awful plastic....just garbage. Yours may the better model as seen from the pics however. Don't mind me though, I'm being discouraging to your sweet new ride. My last new ride is 41 years old

After working on these at the dealer i must say, Take good care of the interior cause it is very cheaply made with very thin plastic. However, they are solid vehicles with decent power and they drive nice. And oh yeah, the open roof in warm weather is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice upgrade

Come on... I've driven a cavalier the past 10 years or so. Don't you think I'm used to cheap interiors?

Been a great purchase with the winter we've had here in Michigan. We haven't seen this much snow in a while.
