Basic = no time. And i think you mean tech school when you say OTS. OTS is officer training school, your're going enlisted.
Keep your mouth shut at basic, do exactly what they tell you to do, nothing more, nothing less. Realize that the MTI's job is to make you as stressed out as possible and see how you perform. They will give you tasks to do and nowhere near enough time to complete them. So go in realizing its all a head game and you will be fine. They will threaten you to death about how you will be recycled (sent back in training), but you really have to @!#$ up to get recycled. Remember: Its all head games.
Also, if you are religious or not, make sure you go to church and religious education on sundays. The military has to provide this time, and its a total of 2 hours away from your MTI every sunday. Take advantage.

there is a really simple way to fix 90% of model imperfections it called photoshop.. learn it? However cars are very cool
I know nothing about photography but I think you pics where good just need more lighting. The model has to go though, unless you going to shoot in a trailer park.
