1. Infinity is a very nice car and all, but it is anemic compared to the GXP, compare the room.
2. Old picture. The new 2009 TL is horrible looking. Atleast the engineering is first rate.
3. It is competive.
4. It's German, that right there is enough to not even consider it.

LMAO...

Lets look at it this way then...

Which of the cars that I listed are going to hold its value better then the Pontiac?

Correct Answer: All of them.

Wait a year of 2 and that 45k Pontiac will be about 20-25k used.

Can't say that about the ones I listed.

the way the current market is going none of them will , lmao

the chrysler is plagued the same way pontiac is , as soon as gas went up value went down

i know several people with G35's , and none of them get good mileage

the pontiac and chrysler might loose value now , but will gain more 20years from now , the others wont

LiTCaV (The Bright One) wrote:40K?? HAH!

For 40k you could get a nice used Vette with very light miles just to name a car.

Also the Interior looks like a freaking coblat interior, cheap as piss! compared to a 40k bemmer or bense interior it looks horridly cheap.

Pimp looking car though

tell me... how does one go about seeing an interior look 'cheap'??? by cheap do you mean the components look like no money was spent on them or by cheap do you mean it looks underengineered?

i for one believe the interior looks amazing. far from 'cheap', in either definition.

Are you scared of the changes coming? The answer is on the inside.

I more or less meant it just looks very plane. As Mr. Goodwrench said I will have to see one in person. I am in the market so If i do see one I will take a look.

I have been in my buddies Merc. Compressor. It's certianly not king of bense's but the interior looked far much better than that.

But as said I will have to see this in person.. so we'll see how it goes.

I understand what you mean. But the G8's interior is "no-nonsense," straight-forward cockpit, it will not try to fool you into thinking it is a luxury sedan like Mercedes... like sprinkle a little wood and BAM! Instant luxury! Heh, North America are the only idiots in which Mercedes market their car as luxurious and believes it. Lol the only luxury about it is the price tag. Around the world they are used as fleets for taxis, rentals, police cars, etc. LOL real luxury.
But back to the point, the G8's interior uses soft textured plastics with a very good finish and feel, there is no sloppiness on the switch gears, hinges, everything works with sophistication. No sharp plastic here which is a trademark from GM.
The tactile feel of the G8's interior is first rate and feels like it will last unlike Mercedes' plastics that would fall apart in less than 4 years and leather and vinyl not able to hold up to daily routines(reminded me of my 2003 Vette's crappy leather eww). I know as I used to work at a Mercedes' parts dept and had a fair share of first hand experience.

No kidding, why compare cars you like instead of cars in the SAME CLASS??? Some of the cars listed/pictured are not even CLOSE to the Performance #'s of the G8 GXP.

The G8 interior is very nice, The door Panels even have nice Material on them. The cars looks Amazing and the Layout of the Interior is very nice indeed. Sit in one and drive it, then decide.

400+hp with Good Looks and room for 4 adults?? Great Car IMO

Just saw a 2008 GXP sell for $30,000 used.

I just bought a 2008 Loaded V6 for $15,900 from a Co-worker, KBB shows it at $19,600. The Banks Black book shows value at $21,200 - HOLDING IT'S VALUE RATHER Well I'd say.

Our Fully loaded G6 V6 sedan was priced @ $28,000 new. Now they are selling on dealer lots between $15-18k - My window sticker shows $29,000 for my G8 and it's holding on better than the G6 and it's a year older.

2 things about this post make me chuckle. 1st: this guy seriously said Chrysler's hold their vale better than a Pontiac?
Hilarious. Resale and Chrysler should NEVER be used in the same sentence unless it's a punchline.

2nd: it's actually 3 years later and they are still apparently selling GXP's at or around the 30k marks so, I'm say they've held some value.

Lol yeah. Same here too with my GXP. When I was thinking about selling mine the dealer wanted to actually buy it from me at more then what I payed for the car (I'm the second owner).
By the way exesivefire, I got my supercharger coming in soon here.

I'm going with my second to last choice, Maggie 2300 and a 2.8 pulley with rear cog. Other superchargers will fit but I'm not willing to make some mods or spend that amount of money.
